Description
Red Cask takes Cedar Ridge’s aged bourbon and rye whiskeys and finished them for an additional year in estate-owned, red wine casks.
For the last three years, Slipknot along with Iowan-forged distillery Cedar Ridge have become a formidable tandem in the space of finely-crafted spirits. The No. 9 Iowa Whiskey bottle has become synonymous with premium quality, sourcing Iowan ingredients, ethos, and identity to become one of most demand labels among whiskey aficionados and curious followers alike.
To better meet the ever increasing demand for the whiskey that has now taken home the title for “Best Celebrity Whiskey” from Forbes twice in that last three years, the pairing of clown and the team of expert distillers at Cedar Ridge have sourced additional whiskey barrels from producers in Indiana and Kentucky that match the flavor profile of Slipknot No. 9.
The increase in infrastructure allows production to ramp up, all without having to compromise the quality and consistency of what people have come to expect from the No. 9 x Cedar Ridge label. It also affords the gold standard of quality and integrity to remain in tact, while exploring new terrain in the space of handcrafted whiskey.
Adding to the portfolio of Slipknot’s award-winning No. 9 Whiskeys, the team led by clown and Head Distiller Murphy Quint, have unveiled their Red Cask edition. Both aged bourbon and rye whiskeys are finished for an additional year in estate-owned, red wine casks before expertly blending. The red wine finish adds a depth of flavor, body, and finish to the final product, while packing the punch Slipknot No. 9 fans have come to love.
